摘要：Language is one of the most important means of comminication for humans. Because it provides communication among them. There have been some discussions about the origin of language. Socrates was one of the formers who discussed the origin of language. After him some philosophers also discussed the origin of language. Ghazali, one of the philosopher of Islam also discussed the origin of language and put forward some opinions. In this article Socrates and Ghazali's ideas about the origin of language will be discussed.
