摘要：İnceleme sahası, Ege Bölgesinin Ege Bölümünde, Salihli ilçe merkezinin 12 km. kadar kuzeyinde Tepecik mevkiinde yer almaktadır. Kekik kültürünün yapıldığı saha yaklaşık 500 dekar genişliğinde olup, deniz seviyesinden ortalama yüksekliği 150-160 m. arasındadır. Salihli’de kültüre alınan İzmir kekiğinin (Origanum smyrnaeum L. syn. Origanum onites L.) Batı Anadolu ve Akdeniz bölgesinin doğal ortamında oldukça geniş bir yetişme alanı vardır. Yayılış alanlarında, orman alt florasında sık sık görülen İzmir kekiği, step ve garig formasyonları içinde yaygın olarak bulunmaktadır. Bu kültür çalışmasıyla, ülkemizin pek çok yöresinde ve bu arada Salihli’nin doğal ortam koşullarında yetişen İzmir kekiğinin kültürünün yapılabileceği ve iyi bir verimin alınabileceği ortaya konulmuştur.
其他摘要：The research area is in Tepecik which is situated 12 kilometers north of Salihli. The culture planting of the thymus is nearly 500 acres width and it’s height from the sea level is nearly 150-160 meters. The Izmir thymus (Origanum smyrnaeum L, syn. Origanum onites L), which has been taken into culture planting as the Salihli Sample, has a very large growing area in the Mediterranean region and the West Anatolia. The Izmir thymus, which is seen usually in the under forest flora of if s spreading area can be found in the steppe and garig formations widely. With this sample practice, it has been proved that the culture planting of the thymus plant and a high production as a result is possible which grows in the geographical conditions of the Aegean region besides the most parts of our country.
