摘要：Bu çalışmanın amacı, Çınarcık ve çevresinin jeomorfolojik oluşum ve gelişiminin incelenmesidir. Buna ek olarak çalışma, Samanlı dağlarının ve İzmit körfezinin oluşumunu açıklamaktadır. Aşınım yüzeyleri alt - orta miyosen 600 - 900. metrelerde, üst miyosen 250 - 600 metrelerde, pliosen 100 - 200 metrelerde, pleistosen deniz taraçaları 30- 80 metrelerde gözlenmiştir.
其他摘要：The purpose of this work is the study of geomorphological formation and evolution of the to that, the stady is to explain the formation of Samanlı mountains and İzmit Gulf by geomorphological methods. Denudational surfaces of lower to middle Miocene at 600 - 900 meters, upper Miocene at 250 - 600 meters, Plicoene at 100 - 200 meters, Pleistocene marine terraces at 30 - 80 meters have been studied.
