摘要：Un de Baumugnes deJeanGiono (1929), deuxième volume dela « trilogie de Pan »,est un roman qui présenteet qui défend même une poétique « réaliste » en phaseavecles recherches que mènent,àla mêmeépoque, d’autresécrivains delanguefrançaise. Laconstruction du texteet la pratique delalangue qu’il déploiesontcohérentesavecles discourscritiques quel’auteur dissémineau cours dela mêmeépoque:les uneset les autres vont dans la direction d’un « réalismeacoustique » quiseconfigurecommela grande nouveauté desannées 1920 et 1930. Pour finir,cet article propose delirelascènecentrale du roman àlalumière des théories de Roland Barthes sur l’« effet deréel » :la musique(dont ilest question dans letexte)et la musicalité delalanguelittéraire quil’évoque, marquée par des traits d’oralité, permettraient d’évoquer leréel par « la collusion directe d’un référentet d’un signifiant ». Both theconstruction ofthetextand its practice of languageareconsistent with thecritical discourses that theauthor disseminates during thesame period:all ofthemcontributeto set up an “acoustic realism”which is the great novelty oftheinterwar period. Finally, thisarticle proposesareading ofthecentralscene ofthe novel by taking into account Roland Barthes’ theories on the“reality effect”:the music(which is the object ofthe novel)and the musicality oftheliterary languagethat evokes it, marked by features of orality, makeit possibleto recallreality through “the directcollusion ofareferentand asignifier”.
