摘要:This research aims to analyze the communication strategies employed on Facebook by the former MP Jair Bolsonaro during the 55th legislature (2015-2019) and the 2018 Brazilian presidential race, when he was elected president of Brazil, investigating the hypothesis of he had been in a permanent campaign mode during the term. We collected all the Bolsonaro messages posted on his fan page from February 1, 2015, to October 28, 2018 (n1 = 2530) to carry out this study. We also identified the month of each year of the term in which he was most frequent on that social network site (SNS). Then, we conducted a Content Analysis of the messages posted by Bolsonaro in these four months as well as in one month of the official electoral period (n2 = 457), classifying them into four categories: frequency; negative campaign; transfer of themes to the electoral period; and interactivity with his followers. The results suggest that he engaged in a permanent campaign during the term of office analyzed.
