摘要：O texto apresenta a relação entre a cidade do Rio de Janeiro e o turismo no estado de mesmo nome e no país ao longo do século XX: projetos imaginados e inviabilizados por ações políticas não previstas. Dando prosseguimento, mostra-se a possibilidade de reviravolta deste cenário na primeira década do século XXI com políticas mais efetivas no âmbito do turismo com base em planejamentos para o sistema de transportes focado, essencialmente, nas mobilidades horizontal e vertical entre o sistema aéreo e deste com o rodoviário, respectivamente, visando interiorização do turismo como proposta pelo Ministério do Turismo por meio da Regionalização. A pesquisa foi bibliográfica em artigos, livros e documentos públicos com acesso livre e estudos de campo realizados durante a inventariação da oferta turística do estado do Rio de Janeiro ao longo do ano de 2016. O objetivo principal foi identificar a distância turística existente no estado do Rio de Janeiro entre os subpolos do IOT RJ e fomentar a reflexão sobre a interface entre mobilidade e turismo. Os resultados mostraram a urgente necessidade de um gerenciamento da mobilidade que atue como indutor do turismo no Estado.
其他摘要：The text shows the relationship between the city of Rio de Janeiro and tourism in the State of the same name and the country during the twentieth century: projects imagined and unfeasible by unforeseen political actions. It is possible to turn this scenario around in the first decade of the 21st century with more effective policies in the field of tourism based on planning for the transport system focused essentially on the horizontal and vertical mobility between the air system and this one with the road, respectively, aiming at interiorization of tourism as proposed by the Ministry of Tourism through regionalization. The research was bibliographical in articles, books, and public documents with free access and field studies made during the inventory of the tourist offer of the State of Rio de Janeiro throughout the year 2016. The main objective was to identify the tourist distance existing in the State of Rio de Janeiro and to encourage reflection on the interface between mobility and tourism. The results showed the urgent need for mobility management that acts as an inducer of tourism in the State.
