摘要：O artigo retoma as questões levantadas por Freud em "O mal-estar na civilização" (1930/1994) para reuni-las em torno da clínica do trabalho contemporâneo. Se o trabalho pode gerar o que há de melhor em termos de sublimação e de autorrealização, pode também gerar o pior, qual seja: a banalização do sofrimento infligido ao outro, que leva alguns indivíduos a não encontrar outra saída senão o suicídio no local de trabalho. Será que os novos métodos de organização do trabalho favorecem o consentimento com práticas que, no entanto, condenamos moralmente?
其他摘要：The article picks up on matters brought to light by Freud in "Civilization and Its Discontents", in order to gather them around the clinic of contemporary work. If work can generate the best in terms of sublimation and self-realization, it can also generate the worst: the banalization of suffering inflicted on others, which leads certain individuals to find no way out other than committing suicide at their work places. Could it be that the new methods of work organization favor consent towards practices which, on the other hand, we morally condemn?
