摘要：Parques e jardins são heranças da revalorização dos ideais naturalistas, principalmente europeus, e desempenham funções sociais, educacionais, estéticas e ecológicas. O estudo objetivou identificar os aspectos históricos, educacionais, recreativos e desenvolvimento urbano que envolvem e/ou exercem pressão no Parque Ambiental Antonio Danúbio, na Região Metropolitana de Belém/PA, contribuindo para sua valorização como área de conservação da biodiversidade e qualidade de vida para a população. Aplicou-se técnicas de observação não participante e entrevistas semiestruturadas. Foram ouvidas 35 pessoas que estão de alguma forma relacionadas a área. Ao longo de sua história, a área do Parque, sofreu ações de naturezas diversas, que modificaram a estrutura, organização e função, principalmente na fisionomia vegetacional, consequente da expansão urbana veloz e sem planejamento. O Parque enfrenta problemas antigos com a falta de recursos, contudo, ainda é um local de clima agradável, contemplação da natureza e pode ser um espaço de proposta educativa, cultural e de memória da população.
其他摘要：Parks and gardens are estate of the revaluation of naturalistic ideals, mainly European, and perform social, aesthetic and ecological functions. The study aimed to identify the historical, educational, recreational and urban development aspects that involve and / or exert pressure in Parque Ambiental Antonio Danúbio, in the Region Metropolitan of Belém/PA, contributing to its valorization as an area of biodiversity conservation and quality of life for the population. Non-participant observation techniques and semi-structured interviews were applied. 35 people were heard who are in any way related to the area. Throughout its history, the Park area has undergone actions of different natures, which have changed the structure, organization and function, mainly in the vegetation physiognomy, resulting from the rapid and unplanned urban expansion. The Park faces old problems with the lack of resources, however, it is still a place of pleasant climate, contemplation of nature and can be a space of educational, cultural and memory of the population.
