摘要：Objetivou-se identificar as ações desenvolvidas com o idoso pelo cuidador durante a hospitalização, assim como as facilidades e dificuldades vivenciadas. Foi uma pesquisa descritiva e exploratória de cunho qualitativo realizada em um hospital universitário. Participaram 11 familiares cuidadores. Caracterizam-se por serem do sexo feminino, filhas do idoso, casadas, com filhos, sem emprego remunerado. Como resultados verificou-se que o cuidador desenvolve ações entendidas como semelhantes aos domiciliares como: higienização, alimentação, segurança física e emocional. As facilidades identificadas foram: acesso a serviços especializados e a equipe de enfermagem. As dificuldades remetem aos riscos de infecção, estrutura física hospitalar carente de adaptações para receber o idoso e seu cuidador, stress vivenciado pelo cuidador e a falta de privacidade. Percebeu-se que acolhendo o cuidador e o idoso, passando informações sobre as normas e rotinas do hospital e do tratamento prestado são medidas que poderão amenizar o sofrimento de vivenciar, juntamente com o idoso, a hospitalização.
其他摘要：This study aimed to identify the actions developed in / with the elderly by caregivers during hospitalization, the facilities and difficulties experienced. Descriptive and exploratory qualitative research. 11 family caregivers participated. They are characterized by their gender, daughters of the elderly, married, with children, without gainful employment. The results showed that the caregiver develops actions construed as similar to home as hygiene, nutrition, physical and emotional security. The facilities were identified: access to specialized services and the nursing staff. The difficulties were: risk of infection, lacking adaptations to receive the senior and the caregiver, caregiver stress experienced by hospital privacy and lack of physical structure. It was realized that accepting the caregiver and the elderly through information on the rules and routines of the hospital and the treatment provided to hospitalized elderly may alleviate the suffering of experiencing, along with the elderly, hospitalization.
