摘要:The aim of this study was to investigate the relationship between thinking styles and marital satisfaction in male and female teachers in Tabriz. The research was correlational. The statistical population included all married male and female teachers working in education in Tabriz in 2019-2020 that 375 people were selected as a sample by relative cluster sampling and a questionnaire was distributed among them. The instruments used in this study were Sternberg-Wagner (1991) and Enrich (1989) Marital Satisfaction Questionnaire. Data were analyzed using Pearson correlation coefficient and multivariate regression tests. In the male group, there was a significant positive and direct relationship between marital satisfaction and the components of oligarchy, partisanship, introspection and conservative component of thinking style components, and in the female group, there was a significant relationship between marital satisfaction and the component. There was a significant positive and direct relationship between oligarchy and the conservative component, and there was also a negative and inverse relationship between the minority component and marital satisfaction. Due to the significantrelationship between thinking style and marital satisfaction, it is necessary to pay attention to the thinking style of couples working with the family. Also, considering the differences between men and women in the relationship between thinking style and marital satisfaction, it seems necessary to pay attention to the gender factor.
