摘要：A green economy supports the conservation of resources and reduces negative impacts on nature. The growth in the quality of human life “coexists” with the growth of natural capital, which ensures green growth. The aim of the study is to assess the state and substantiate the need for the development of a green economy in the world and in Russia in order to ensure intensification of efforts in the field of environmental protection, taking into account the positive impact on the development of national economies and the solution of social problems. The study made it possible to analyze the existing environmental problems and their impact on national economies, identify the prerequisites for the emergence of green technologies in the economy and the prospects for their implementation in the world and in Russia. As a result of the study, the initiatives of specialists for the development of the green economy in the world are identified, the provisions of the green course for the development of the Russian economy are presented.
