摘要:Entropy generation (EG) is a key attribute of every heat transfer development and helps to diminish the irreversibility factor in a system. EG examination finds tremendous uses in numerous conventional industrial sectors involving fluid flows and heat transfer. Therefore, the current analysis is concerned with the impacts of EG and velocity slip on MHD peristaltic flow (PF) for an incompressible liquid in a diverging tube using a lubrication approach i.e., ( ε < < 1 ) and ( Re → 0 ) . Closed-form outcomes for velocity, pressure gradient, pressure rise, temperature field, entropy generation, and Bejan number are acquired. The deviation of pertinent parameters on the flow quantities is outlined and deliberated. The present results agree well with the existing literature. It is established that velocity displays a declining behavior in the tube center, and it enhances almost close to the tube walls for higher magnetic parameter values. The rise in magnetic parameter diminutions the tube liquid temperature however, the reverse trend is distinguished for Brinkmann number. Further, it is found that EG diminution in the central part of the tube however it improves close to the tube walls. A validity of analytical outcomes for the velocity of the fluid is made numerically by MATLAB through bvp4c code.
