摘要:Disciplining students need to be done so that disciplinary attitudes can be achieved. The several ways of disclipining by teacher sometimes don’t match with parent’s expectation, due to the absence of clear standards or agreement. This study aims to building the agreement between parents and teachers about the method to discipline student in school. This study used a qualitative method with a phenomenographic approach. Data collection was carried out through open questionnaires and Focus Group Discussion (FGD). The subjects in this study were selected using purposive sampling technique. This study used data analysis method from Cresswel. The results of this study indicates that disciplinary matters that have not been agreed upon between parents dan teachers include the indiscipline behaviors of students in the school, how they are disciplined, and the process of building agreement about the method to discipline students. The agreement of parents and teachers about the method to discipline students is built through three stages of negotiation that can be influenced by the effects of teacher’s power, misunderstandings, and permissive attitudes of parents.
