摘要:Gabriel Tarde´s production — forgotten for many years by the mainstream sociological theory — has today become the subject of new appropriations and debates. In spite of his vast considerations about economic processes, the references to his work are still marginal in the economic sociology. The aim of this article is to contribute to the recovery of the microsociological perspective inaugurated by Gabriel Tarde for the understanding of economic phenomena and dynamics. We consider that Tarde´s radical critique of purely utilitarian perspectives about economic life — made explicit on the premise that the materiality of economic processes, objects and subjects is constituted by mobile compositions between vectors of beliefs and desires — may contribute to renew and expand actual research questions and agendas of economic sociology.
