摘要：Este artigo trata de um estudo de caso sobre a literatura e o ensino da leitura literária na escola pública, especificamente no Ensino Médio, envolvendo alunos concluintes dessa etapa de escolaridade. O desafio de ler e de ter a literatura como mola mestra para esse fim justificam e corroboram o empenho feito neste trabalho. Isto posto, tem-se como objetivo a verificação do interesse e o nível dos alunos concluintes do Ensino Médio em relação à leitura e à leitura literária. Para atingir o objetivo pretendido, aplica-se um questionário contendo questões qualitativas e quantitativas. Pelo fato dessa pesquisa ser de natureza histórico-descritiva (ANDRADE, 1999), ancorada em pressupostos teóricos contidos em referenciais dos campos da leitura e da literatura, a investigação seguiu, basicamente, os procedimentos determinados em pesquisas de estudo de caso (LÜDKE & ANDRÉ, 1986). Para fundamentar e subsidiar as discussões e reflexões apropria-se, também, dos estudos de (FOUCAMBERT, 1994), (ZILBERMAN, 2012), (COSSON, 2014), entre outros. A partir da análise dos questionários, consoante ao que apontam os estudiosos do assunto, constatou-se que a maioria dos alunos disseram ter o hábito de ler, porém apresentam certas deficiências em relação à leitura literária. Isto acontece mesmo diante de a maioria afirmar que gosta de ler. Ficou evidente, através da análise das respostas, que a maior dificuldade dos alunos está em conseguir absorver o conteúdo do texto literário por completo.
其他摘要：This article deals with a case study about the literature and the teaching of literary reading in the public school, specifically in high school, involving students who have completed this stage of schooling. The challenge of reading and having literature as the mainspring for this purpose justifies and corroborates the commitment made in this work. Thus, the objective is to verify the interest and level of high school graduates in relation to reading and literary reading. To achieve the intended objective, a questionnaire containing qualitative and quantitative questions is applied. Because this research is historical and descriptive (ANDRADE, 1999), anchored in theoretical assumptions contained in references from the fields of reading and literature, the investigation basically followed the procedures determined in case study research (LÜDKE & amp; ANDRÉ, 1986). To substantiate and support the discussions and reflections, it is also appropriate to study (FOUCAMBERT, 1994), (ZILBERMAN, 2012), (COSSON, 2014), among others. From the analysis of the questionnaires, according to what the scholars point out, it was found that most students said they had the habit of reading, but have certain deficiencies in relation to literary reading. This is true even though most people say they like to read. It was evident from the analysis of the answers that the greatest difficulty of the students is to be able to absorb the content of the literary text completely.
