摘要:In this study, we aimed to investigate the work done in Turkey on online reading. In the study, “descriptive analysis” technique was used to analyze the data obtained by conducting a qualitative research technique, called “document analysis”. In the first stage of the study, a search was made in the summaries and full-texts of the theses that were indexed in the National Thesis Center of Republic of Turkey’s Council of Higher Education with the following keywords: online reading, electronic reading, internet searching – understanding strategies, internet information search, online information search strategies, screen reading, e – book reading, internet based reading, internet reading. Then, Dergipark, ULAKBIM, Google Scholar, National Library and National Collective Catalog databases were used for the same purpose. Some findings of the study are as follows: most of the published works were written in 2018 and 2019. In between the years of 2010 and 2020, 37 of the published works were masters theses, 6 of them were doctoral theses, 80 of them were articles and 17 of them were articles. The universities that publıshed most of those theses were: Gazi University, Hacettepe University, and Sakarya University. Most of the articles published on this topic were published in the journal called Turkish Studies. When the articles were examined based on the number of the authors, it was seen that most of them were co- authored by two authors.
