摘要：This paper aims to analyze the importance of the tourism in the development of some urban area. In the first part of the paper we presented some theoretical issues concerning the urban tourism. Currently the tourism and the touristic industry offer many opportunities,attractive destinations,niche products,offering maybe the most complex products. In this case the resources,whatever their nature plays a special role. The second part of the paper includes the analysis of the touristic resources of the urban center Braila and captures the opportunities of the development of urban tourism in the period of economic crisis.
