摘要:The present paper deals with the concept of timeline as a perceptual filter. This has been interpreted as an essential principle in forming our unique representation of the world. Measuring time as motion has made leaders aware of how time as an entity can exert a strong influence on the dynamics of business. The notion of timeline draws on the in and through time dichotomy. From this point of view,language contains a constellation of idioms. People usually express their preference for either the “through time” or the “in time” in their linguistic use of certain phrasal verbs,adjectives,idiomatic phrases,as well as critical submodalities.
