摘要：In this paper the modern aspects of innovative development of the industry are explored with emphasising enterprises of machinery industry. The problems of innovative development of machinery enterprises and ways to activate it are explained. The main indicators of innovative development of engineering enterprises in Ukraine for the period 2007-2011. Particular attention is paid to social innovations in the context of innovative development of engineering enterprises. Deals with the implementation of social sector innovation in engineering enterprises. The structure of social innovation engineering enterprises in the field of personnel by 2011. The main indicators of social innovation in the field of staff development engineering enterprises in Ukraine. Given current trends analysis and engineering innovation active enterprises,identified a series of proposals for social innovation in the context of the key strategic priorities of the engineering enterprises.
