摘要：The relevance of this research topic is caused of the presence of many strategic challenges in the energy sector of Ukraine. However,it is founded a strong potential,the effective implementation of which it will bring our country to the new economic level. Implementation of the so-called energy "revolution" it will contribute to the modernization of the fuel and energy sector,reform its own energy markets,create new workplaces and stimulate general economic growth. In this research article it was described the priority problems of the energy sector,which hinder economic and social development,in particular,the energy security of Ukraine. It was analyzed the energy needs,identified the main objectives of the state's updated energy strategy for future prospects. Also it was focused on the problems in the management of energy companies and,as a recommendation for dealing with them,a new management model,which could increase the enterprise’s net profit of the energy sector and rationally invest in the modernization of its fixed assets,in innovative projects for improving energy efficiency and minimize budget expenditure side of energy enterprises.
