摘要：One of the key indicators of human welfare refers to consumption. Moreover,consumption,along with other component – production,is one of the major themes of EUROSTAT indicators system of sustainable development. In real terms,total consumption expenditure of households in Romania increased in the first eight years of the last decade,growth followed by stagnation and even by a decline during the global financial crisis that hit our country. The present paper performs a multi-criteria ranking of Romanian development regions,applying two ranking methods: the Relative distances ranking method and the Real ranks method.
