摘要:The article contains a research of the history of applying to the sexual incentives in the USA advertising industry. The historical background of the sexual incentives implementation to the producers’ promotional materials has been considered. Main social,economic and cultural factors of changes in the approaches to appealing to the sexual motivations of the audience of each stage of evolution of applying to the sexual incentives in advertising have been defined. It has been found out which concepts of psychology and consumer behaviour have formed the basis for the formation of comprehensive understanding of the influence of the sexual incentives in advertising on the human psyche by specialists. There is an analysis of main tendencies of the advertising appeals with sexual incentives of the specific historical period. Based on the analysed information,a table that contains a generalization about the distinctive forms of the sexual incentives used by advertisers and the factors that caused the identified tendencies on each of the stages in evolution of applying to the sexual incentives in advertising has been developed.
