摘要:Purpose - In this study, it is aimed to investigate whether person-organization fit is effective in the physical, emotional and cognitive engagement of employees to their jobs in the context of social exchange theory. Methodology – In the research, survey technique was used as data collection method. 564 data were obtained as a result of applying a survey to the employees of the automotive sector. The data obtained as a result of the survey application were analyzed with SPSS and AMOS programs. Frequency, reliability, confirmatory factor, correlation and regression analyzes were used in the study. Findings – As a result of the research, it has been determined that person-organization fit has a positive effect on work engagement dimensions (vigor, dedication and absorption). Conclusions – It is concluded that the change in work engagement levels is explained by person-organization fit. Based on this result, it can be said that the employees will find their jobs more meaningful and will experience more enthusiasm, inspiration and pride in their work with ensuring of the person-organization fit.
