摘要：The paper aims at presenting the changes in the landscape caused by the construction of the first section of the Gdańsk Motorway,which crosses the Pomeranian Voivodeship (66 km) and the Kuiavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship (24 km). The detailed studies included three following motorway junctions:the Rusocin Junction (the gmina of Pruszcz Gdański),the Pelplin Junction (the gmina of Pelplin) and the Junction Nowe Marzy (the gmina of Dragacz). The main research method was the analysis of the cartographic material with the use of the GIS tools,predominantly ArcGIS. On the basis of topographic maps and the construction plans for the junctions two maps were prepared for each area in question. They show the situation before and after the construction of the motorway. These maps,alongside with the results of the landscape inventory taken in the field (August 2009), were used to characterize the changes in the landscape.
