摘要：Puszczykowo is located approximately 17 kilometers south of Poznan in the buffer zone of Wielkopolska National Park (WPN). Because of an inside forest location,high landscape and natural values and a proximity to the Warta River and Poznan Puszczykowo was a popular summer resort since the end of XIX century. After switching off in 1996 the urban areas of Puszczykowo from WPN areas is observed an increasing number of commercial investments that threaten the natural-landscape values of the city. Currently the city is more often referred as the garden-city. This article attempts to prove that Puszczykowo was not a garden-city in the past and is not a garden-city nowadays. Describing Puszczykowo using this term arises only from the policy and the promotion of this region by local authorities. Due to the history and tourism-recreation values Puszczykowo should be promoted as a summer resort,not as a garden-city with which has little in common.
