摘要：Housing estates for senior citizens are becoming an offer of Polish developers. These buildings are aimed at senior citizens,still self-reliant. In such buildings they have an access to all conveniences making their lives easier,e.g. shopping,laundry,cleaning,transport services,socializing activities etc. The phenomenon of buildings for senior citizens was initiated already in 1950s,in Western Europe. A proper urban planning and architectural solutions were sought after then. It is only now that in Poland developers are starting to take a close interest in such buildings. The aim of the study is to show an influence of migrations of senior citizens on landuse of towns and cities in Poland. Moreover,it is an attempt of typology of housing estates for senior citizens.
