摘要：The abandoned quarries can represents a valuable from the environment protection point of view objects. The article is devoted to Skitskiy gypsum quarry located in the canyon of the Dniester River (Western Ukraine),which for over 50 years functions in the mode of renaturalization. The geological,geomorphological (karsticspeleological) and landscape-ecological values of the quarry,their protection,as well as possible ways to use this object are characterized.
