摘要：Kłodzko land represents an area where after the 2nd world war the German population was almost completely substituted by Polish inhabitants. As a consequence,instead of hitherto existing local names – sometimes dating back to the middle ages – a set of Polish names was introduced. Unfortunately,the number of names was smaller and their character only partly linked with the tradition. Moreover,some of them were not accepted by the local community. The aim of the article is to compare the number and character of a specific type of geographical names – those connected with roads and paths,which were in use in the eastern part of the Kłodzko land in the 20th century. A comparative analysis of maps in 1:25 000 scale (one pre-war and two post-war) proved an exceptional loss in the number of those names. However,the set of names used by the local community could have been bigger. As an evidence tourist publications can be mentioned.
