摘要：Through centuries the important determinant of Polish landscape was residence. It influenced the way of historic development of surrounding landscape. Its dominating role in the landscape was caused by the social and economic circumstances. Presently the historic residences belong to the most endangered group of monuments. In the following article the author pointed the typical features of Polish residential landscape,defined the state of preservation of this part of Polish heritage and discussed the main dangers to such type of landscape. It was stated in the conclusion of the article that the present investments in residential landscape should be conducted in the way guaranteeing saving its basic values for future generations.
