摘要：The work attempts to characterize and evaluate the investments in shaping the landscape of rural public places,. We analyzed 43 public space,created or modernized in 2008-2015 within the West Polesie region. The evaluation was based on a set of criteria for determining the quality of place. This kit includes such features as:coziness;availability;the nature of the edge;the presence of greenery;the presence of water;the presence of dominants and landscape distinguishing features;scenic openings and ties;the presence of negative elements;identity and local traditions;bendiness;light. This analysis formed the basis to identify the major trends in shaping the landscape of contemporary rural public places,such as the lack of a comprehensive approach to the site;lack of spatial relationships;an apparent return to tradition;geometrisation of space;avoiding high greenery;improvement of the technical infrastructure and the emergence of grassroots activities.
