摘要：The number of landscape islands forms in the agricultural areas depends on a number of factors:the relief character,distribution of arable land and the intensity of use. An important factor in the functionality of the structure of the agricultural landscape is the degree of fragmentation of its components and the relative position of the environmental islands. The study describes environmental island distribution and their floristic characteristics on agricultural landscapes in lowland areas of Nowogard Plain and Goleniowska Plain in north-western Poland. Diversity and sustainability of environmental islands in the selected training ground were researched. In the study area agricultural pressures caused the disappearance or transformation of a large part of the islands. Greater variety of natural elements in the landscape and the lack of barriers caused that in the Nowogard Plain more rich floral and phytosociological variety of landscape islands were observed.
