摘要：The aim of this paper is to analyze the contemporary spatial layout of Zbąszynek (German:Neu Bentschen) with regard to the garden city concept and forms of urban greenery. The basis for this analysis was the inventory carried out in reference to specific urban spaces such as streets and squares. Additionally,the research is supplemented by an analysis of archive materials that made it possible to determine the historical spatial layout and to refer it to the modern shape of the town. The study of Zbąszynek’s spatial layout and the review of Europe’s implementations of the garden city concept allowed the author to answer the following research questions:Are there elements in the spatial layout of Zbąszynek that are a reference to the garden city concept? And are there elements that make Zbąszynek different from this concept? Moreover:does Zbąszynek develop in a way that preserves the historical spatial layout?
