摘要:Landscape is one of the basic geographical notions that,in addition to such concepts as „region”,„space”,„place” and „geographical environment”,accentuates the holistic nature of geographical cognition. In the literature devoted to landscape,one can notice a great diversity of views on its understanding,while in school education,a precise definition and an unambiguous understanding of its meaning are necessary. The authors of the article decided to look at the place of the concept of landscape in the currently binding curriculum documents for various stages of education and to show the changes in the concept of landscape education in school geographic education in Poland. The diagnosis of the rank and changes in the assumptions of landscape education in schools was made on the basis of a comparative analysis of the core curriculum from 2008 to the one elaborated in 2017-2018,and comments made on them. The query of geography didactics manuals and other publications served to show the context of changes in landscape education in a contemporary Polish school. As a result of the research,it was found that the selection of objectives and requirements for landscape in the new core curriculum corresponds to an in-depth understanding of the concept of landscape. The core curriculum of nature and geography developed in recent years,in comparison with the previous foundations,is definitely fuller in terms of the frequency of references to the term landscape.
