摘要：The paper presents the changes of water conditions in the lower part of the Wda river,caused by the construction of barrages. The strongest transformation are connected with the use of the water power stations Żur and Gródek. This two barrages caused considerable enlargement of the water areas and changed regime of the Wda river downstream the Gródek dam. The bed load from the Wda river and their tributaries has been accumulating in the reservoirs,especially in the Żur reservoir. The outflow irregularity increased in the part of the Wda river downstream of the cascade,as the effect of using water for power stations. Large and frequent changes in the volume of the flow cause decrease of the number of species and the size of populations in the Wda river. Despite of some negative aspects reservoirs and their surrounding there are the most attractive element of the Wda valley landscape and the main attraction of the Wda Landscape Park.
