摘要：Suitable regional policy and sensible spatial planning create a chance to develop cognitive/educational tourism in areas rich in sites of cultural heritage. These days cultural tourism is becoming more and more popular,i.e. visiting valuable sites and whole towns that are popularly believed to be big cultural potential. The aim of this study is to indicate objective methods of studying cultural heritage and assessing its role in the economic development of the region. The study also aims at drawing attention of local societies,municipal authorities as well as restorers responsible for cultural heritage protection to a very specific in its form and content postindustrial cultural landscape of the Voivodship and its particular spiritual and material value which,as shown below,can have an economic dimension.
