摘要:Unsufficient damping of small magnitude electromechanical oscillations seen in a power system, in the 0.2-3 Hz frequency range, can present limitations on the power transfer capability of power systems which cause the instability. Power system stabilizers (PSSs) can enhance the dynamic stability of the system by increasing the damping torque of the synchronous machines in the system to damp the oscillations. In this study three kinds of PSS are investigated: conventional phase lead-lag PSS, optimal controller based PSS and optimum gain scheduling based PSS. Simulation results show that the optimum gain scheduling based PSS give a beter performance especially in operating point changes condition.
