摘要:In this study, ferrovanadium, ferroboron and iron powders prepared in different rates were cladded by TIG welding on AISI 1020 and AISI 316 steel surfaces. Matrix, interface and coating layers were seen clearly by macro investigation. Variations of microstructure and hardness according to vanadium and boron rates were examined. It was figured out that borides were increased depending on boron rates. Also morphological changes were observed. Hardness values of cladding layers for AISI 1020 and AISI 316 steels are changing between 280-150 HV and 450-250 HV respectively. Analysis of X ray Diffraction demonstrated that coating layer includes phases of Fe, Fe2B and VB.
