摘要：In this study, effect of biodiesel, as an alternative fuel, which was produced from waste oil on motor performance and emissions was investigated experimentally. In the experiments, diesel engine which had four strokes, single cylinder and direct injection was used. Diesel and pure biodiesel were used in engine as a fuel. Besides, the test engine was tested at constant speed under various loads. According to experimental results, when the biodiesel was used as a fuel, brake specific fuel consumption was increased about 3% and break specific energy consumption was decreased about 5% as well. Besides, NOx, CO, and smut emissions were decreased about 17%, 33%, and 31%, respectively. Moreover, HC emission was increased about 24%.
