摘要:In diesel engines, harmful gases and particulate matter are released to environment, since combustion does not occur with full efficiency. Nitrogen oxide and particulate matter emissions are too high because of operation on a lean mixture in diesel engines. Particulate filters are used to control particulate matter emission in diesel engines. Particulate filters are designed to collect solid and liquid particulate matter emissions while exhaust gases to do cross flow. In this article, pressure through particulate filter measured on the set up test arrangement. Permeability and inertial loss coefficient are calculated after the measurement. Pressure drop analysis is carried out with a finite element program. Experimental and numerical results are compared in the study at last.
