摘要:Objectives: This study aimed to investigate the relationship between child care teachers’ grit, teacher efficacy and managing strategies for young children's problem behaviors, and to examine the mediating effect of teacher efficacy on the relationship between grit and these managing strategies. Methods: A self-report survey was administered to 261 child care teachers. Descriptive and basic statistics of the data were calculated using SPSS 18.0. Structural Equation Modeling was implemented using AMOS 18.0. Results: Child care teachers’ grit directly affected their managing strategies for children's problem behaviors. Teacher efficacy played a mediating role in the pathway from grit to managing strategies for problem behaviors of young children. Conclusions: The grit and teacher efficacy of child care teachers’ are expected to contribute to improving the quality of child care, as they help teachers to identify methods that positively address and manage young children's behavioral problems.
