摘要：Nowadays, managing a bank branch profitably has become more difficult than it was in the past. With the development of technology, it has become easier for customers to meet their demands. In this direction, lean thinking provides great convenience to the bank. Even though lean thinking has been successfully applied to many areas, it seems that it has not been sufficiently implemented in banking. For this reason, it is necessary to adapt lean thinking to banking applications. The aim of this study is to improve the service and quality levels of banks by applying lean thinking in the field of banking. It would be inadequate to adapt the applications made in the production environment directly to the banking sector. In this study, adaptation of lean application methods to the banking sector and a simulation study were carried out. With the simulation study, it was tried to minimize the activities which are regarded as waste in the banking sector. It has been ensured that activities present in service sector and non-value adding have been observed in the simulation model and wastes have been prevented with the help of the lean thinking.
