摘要：The key element in the consistent, accurate and predictable reproduction of color images is the Color Management System (CMS), defined as a set of techniques and methods, which are used in color processing, and it is independent of processing equipment parameters or of used materials. The Color Management System defined by the International Color Consortium (ICC), which reports the color characteristics for all input and output equipment in printing technological process, to a common reference, has imposed standard into the domain. The use of some compatible CMS by all equipment and specialized program producers in color processing has lead to increasing the economic and productive efficiency in printing and publishing industry. It has delivered considerable printing cost savings by enhancing the offer of full-color and high quality products in today’s market. This is due to shortening the processing cycle times and to lowering the costs of raw and used materials, as a result of reducing color tests and waste materials. Thus, the volume of performed work is growing and so, the profitability of this type of activity.
