摘要：Under the present conditions of economic development, which is under the sign of globalization, the international banking activity represents a crucial threat of the interdependencies among countries. The internationalization of real economy was followed by the internationalization of banking activity, banks facilitating and becoming direct partners to international business developed by their clients. The international banking activity had several stages in its development, which were closely related to the general economic frame of different periods. There are multiple causes that lead to the internationalization of banking activity, varying from the international trade increase to the development of the eurocurrency market, fluctuations of currency rate exchange, deregulation, liberalization of capital flows and economic integration.
