摘要：In the actual global economy, very dynamic, with a lot of rapid changes, the success of countries, communities and individuals is determined, more than ever before, by how they adapt to change, leam and share knowledge. The new core idea in the globalization context is"networking”and we can speak now about a recent conceptual approach一the social capital, less familiar, but which highlights the importance of established social relationships, norms of behavior and mutual trust. The social capital, understood as a tool of adaptation and flexibility, could be of key importance in contributing to a wide range of positive outcomes, including higher income, life satisfaction and social cohesion, and, finally, economic growth and sustainable development. Besides, in the globalization context, some differences in social capital will become a more and more important source of comparative advantage.
