摘要：The world’s most dynamic and competitive economy, based on knowledge, capable of creating a sustainable economic growth, a high employability rate and a strong social cohesion represents a need for every EU country. The main ways to accomplish these objectives and major transformations involves a strict compliance with the objectives and the deadlines established by the EU programmes, related to the educational system, and especially the higher education system. For the enhancement of Romanian competitiveness, as a pre-requisite for attaining convergence with the EU’s structures and dynamics, the solution is to turn the universities into genuine innovation centres through the development of research and creativity activities, initiated at the primary and high school level and completed at the university level.
