摘要：This paper aims to describe the benefits of traditional children’s games in building the children’s character. This endeavor was motivated by the current phenomenon of change in the children’s playing activities, in which children more often are playing with the modern games, which are identical with the use of technology such as video games and online games. As a result, traditional children's games start being forgotten and unknown among the children. Besides, the level of children’s addiction to the modern games is also high, so that it affects the children’s habits and behavior. This paper is a literature study which describes the effects of children’s addiction to playing games, which will result in the shaping of the children’s character. In addition, this paper also compares the effects of modern and traditional games in the formation of the children’s character. It can be concluded that reviving the traditional children's games as today’s children’s games can be an alternative to creating a generation of noble character.
