摘要：The article expands upon the importance of a pragmatics-based approach in translation practice. It also emphasizes the fact that the students who are to become translators or interpreters must become aware of the relationship between the extralinguistic context,the source text and the target text. The theoretical ideas are further exemplified and integrated into practical teaching/learning activities.
