摘要：Starting from the definition of restorative justice by many writers on the criminal mind,the authors emphasize that there are two models of restorative justice - diversion and therapeutic. While the essence of diversion model of restorative justice is 'turning' of the criminal proceedings and the imposition of alternative criminal sanctions,the therapeutic model is reflected in the conviction of the defendant,paying particular attention to the victim,aimed at empowerment and overcoming all the adversity of the crime. Further,the authors present two cases of therapeutic restorative justice model to illustrate its importance. Finally,the authors emphasize the need to introduce a therapeutic model of restorative justice in the criminal legislation of the Republic of Serbia.
