摘要:Within a research project of the Forschungsstelle Archäometrie der Heidelberger Akademie der Wissenschaften am MaxPlanck-Institut für Kernphysik (since 01.08.2006 the above institution) the Glattjochkapelle/Steiermark became dated by the new method HR-OSL (highly resolved optically stimulated luminescence). This method permits dating of the last exposure of granitoid stone surfaces to sunlight by zeroing the latent luminescence-signal in quartz and feldspar minerals. After bleaching and shielding from light a new signal builds up,which intensity provides the age for the last exposure to light. The HR-OSL dating method implies a high potential for the dating of archaeological stone structures. It is adequate to find out, whether the Glattjochkapelle was found within 18th century or in the outgoing early Medieval period. The object and difficulty on it,the basics on the dating method as well as the results will be explained in brief below. Illustrations will complete the text.
