摘要:Building structures is a complex multi-parametric process influenced by a variety of factors such as architecture, civil engineering, economy, ecology, etc. The article describes one of the feasible methods for objectifying a string of decisions related to construction by using the method of analytical hierarchical process (AHP). The method allows the inclusion of different, also descriptive parameters in a mathematical model which enables the calculation of the significance of individual construction criteria. The AHP method results in a decision tree, permitting the rapid and simple recognition of key decisions. The decision tree also allows analytical comparisons of various construction materials,so that we can establish the strong and weak points of individual materials. The entire system can be then optimised on the basis of a selected model. The method is presented through the case study of an AHP analysis of the aptness of wood, brick, concrete or steel for housing, public or industrial construction. The results show that the use of wooden framework structures was best for housing construction.
